BRK of Germany
The origin of B/R/K goes back to the early days of the last century. In 1906 Johann Kuppels founded his company in the German town of Solingen, well known all over the world for its high standard of metal crafting. From day one the company was committed to making and selling the finest cutlery, knives and other kitchen items. Later in the century, Frank Beckmann and Peter Rommerskirchen joined forces to design, develop, manufacture and source worldwide tools for the demanding chef. The name B/R/K combines the initials of the three entrepreneurs and stands for state of the art kitchen tools based on a long tradition of quality and functionality. B/R/K Vertriegs-GmbH sells products under the names B/R/K Germany, Kuppels, BSB and B&R (Beckmann & Rommerskirchen. B/R/K Germany has been developing and distributing worldwide pressure cookers in different extensions for more than 15 years. They have become well-known in the trade due to their permanent product improvement and patents. They produce under their own brand as well as under OEM. They import and export worldwide and also have offices in Spain and Hong Kong, along with offices and their 5,000 square meter logistic area in Germany. In 2007 the B/R/K Pressure Cooking System was introduced into the U.S. market at the International Home and Housewares Show by Kitchen Resource, the exclusive distributor. At the 31st annual Gourmet Housewares Show in Orlando Florida in May of 2007 a panel of editors and writers from Bon Appetit, Gourmet News, Gourmet Retailer, HFN, Kitchenware News and O magazine judged 127 product entries in 5 categories. The B/R/K pressure cooking system won the GOURMET GOLD AWARD in cookware/bakeware category. This innovative and patented one-hand pressure lid eliminates the struggle to line up two handles which most pressure cookers use. The B/R/K pressure cooking system has an innovative patented one hand opening / closing system that allows the lid to be put on the pot in any position eliminating the struggle to line up two handles. The pressure lids can be used for all cooking pots with the same diameter. The pots are 18/10 stainless and can be used not only for pressure cooking, but for steaming, frying, and fast cooking, making these pots a complete cooking system. Many years of intensive research and development have gone into the development of this award winning product. Along with the B/R/K Alpha set larger pots are scheduled for introduction into the U.S. market near the end of 2008. B/R/K has also added the International “COOCINO” trademark. The combination of superior design and functionality is what makes the COOCINO Modular Cooking System unique and indispensable in every kitchen. |
