Also includes Free Dough Hook Extender for small batches
This sleek, new, unique shape and more powerful motor plus many more new features make this machine worth waiting for. We are impressed with the easy way it fits together as well as its a smart new look. Any job like making bread, or whipping cream, or any other task you need in the kitchen, is completed quickly and easily with this wonderful new Bosch Universal Plus. It still makes 4 loaves of 100% whole wheat bread and will whip anything from an egg white to a gallon of icing. The bowl locks onto the base with a lock on the action and the suction cups on the bottom of the base, make it very stable when mixing/kneading small or really large quantities. The clean-up is easy too! You can put the bowl in the dishwasher and the inside steel shaft of the bowl locks on and off, to clean inside the bowl at the same time. Bosch has sold this series of mixers since 1950 and its quality is renowned. They have a much higher than an average lifetime for mixers in this class and a very high customer satisfaction rating. All Bosch Universal or older MUM3 attachments will fit on this new Bosch Universal Plus.
The Bosch Universal Plus Mixer has more power than ever: The new 500 watt motor in the new Bosch Universal Plus is stronger than any previous models. This motor out-performs the strongest "PROFESSIONAL" motors in any of our competitor's machines.
The Universal Plus has a Stronger Transmission: The transmission is what converts the power of the motor into the work that the machine can do. Many of our competitor's machines with overhead arms that raise and lower into the bowls, have transmissions that are definitely inferior to both the design and quality of the Bosch Universal Plus, especially when used under stress, such as a large batch of cookie dough or more than one loaf of heavy bread dough. The spur gears in these other transmissions, break under load and customers have told us that even their brand new units have failed, and cannot handle the quantities that a Bosch Kitchen Mixer can. This makes a significant difference in the longevity of your motors and transmissions. The transmission in the Bosch Universal Plus is a new sealed oil transmission that handles these heavier loads and will outlast the competitors.
The Bosch Mixer is More Efficient: Torque is transmitted directly up the middle of the Bosch Universal Plus bowl making it the most efficient mixer on the market. Even at a low speed, a Bosch machine can deliver superior torque as the power is not squandered on gears that drive the system. This is why many of the other larger mixers on the market do not really have much gas when you need it.
The Complete Kitchen Centre: This Bosch Mixer is a TOTAL KITCHEN CENTRE. It can take the place of most of the other appliances in the kitchen, by just adding a different attachment. Doesn't it make more sense to have one appliance with a great motor that can do all your kitchen jobs? You could replace your blender, food processor, food grinder etc. with a range of available attachments for the Bosch Universal Plus mixer---one motor instead of 8 different machines.
Included with this package: Motor, splash ring, clear lid, dough hook and whips with drive, and Stainless Steel Bowl, and Free Dough Hook extender for small batches of bread.
We have received notice from Bosch Germany that UL "Underwriters Laboratory" has changed the way they rate motors being sold in the U.S. market. As a result, the motor used in the Bosch Universal Plus mixer has been evaluated and re-rated from 800 Watts to 500 Watts. Please note, there has not been any actual change to the motor itself, it is the same powerful Boschmotor that has been used for years and years inside the Bosch Universal Plus Mixer. The only change that has occurred is the rating issued by UL

All I can say is WOW! What great customer service.I ordered myBosch on Tuesday and received it on Thursday. Friday morningI was getting acquainted with my machine and by noon, I had1 small batch of brown bread and a small batch of whitedone and baked and everything cleaned up. There is noway I could have achieved all of that the traditional way. Iam impressed. - Lynda , Golden, B.C.
I had ordered the Bosch Universal Kitchen Machine with the food shredder attachment and cookie paddles at your Christmas special of $--- plus shipping. It was around December 10; I live in Calgary and you shipped it out in the speediest way I could imagine.
I have to tell you, this is the finest, most incredible piece of machinery ever. Where has this BEEN all my life?? I have made double batches of borscht, which has a recipe which literally takes 3+ hours of hand-shredding things like beets, carrots, cabbage, etc -- with your machine, after peeling and prep of the veggies (15 minutes tops), the shredding takes literally 5 minutes or less. Massive amounts of bread are ready in no time. Cheesecake was mixed in 3 minutes, cream was whipped in a minute. UNBELIEVABLE!!
I've told everybody about this machine. They're all annoyed with me now, because they have KitchenAid mixers that cost them a bunch of money, and they can't justify replacing them, but I know they're seriously considering it... Angie Rodgers - Calgary, 2017
The Bosch mixer/processor arrived today, that was incredibly fast! You must be next door to the post office. I just made a batch of bread dough, amazing! no comparing it to other machines and I have tried them all. - Cynthia Johnson - Calgary 2017
Excellent product and customer service!
Quick response to any questions raised, knowledgeable! -

Who Does This??!
I had a very old Bosch Universal bought about 35 years ago when there was a Bosch Kitchen Centre in Victoria. About 1985. Used it regularly all these years to make bread and everything else. Our original machine included a blender jar, and a food processor to shred vegetables etc. A few weeks back I really overloaded it while experimenting with thick whole wheat dough that was way too stiff and big. It ripped the stops right off the plastic transmission! I attempted to repair it without success.
So I sought to replace the kitchen machine. For some stupid reason I never even thought Bosch made these any more. I checked user reviews for Kitchenaid and a dozen others. Motors too noisy, over heating, smoking, not recommended for bread... Then I tried this site and bought a new model of the Universal now being made In Slovenia no less! Crazy as I visited that county 3 years ago. The new unit arrived in just a couple days- a basic unit with the mixing bowl, dough hooks and wire wisk. But here's the unbelievable surprise. After almost 40 years my old attachments still fit!!! What the hell. Who does that any more! Fabulous.
My ancient blender fit and my food processor with shredder blades too. Blown away and it was the right choice for sure.
There have been some improvements over the years. The new main plastic bowl now has extra clamping grooves on the outside edge so that all the torque isn't trying to rip the dogs off of the main drive (like I did with mine). And the drive transmissions is now aluminum, not plastic. Several safety improvements plus suction feet to keep the Universal from walking about with heavy dough loads.
Very, very pleased with the new model.
Again a big impressive WOW that an appliance designed so many years ago is still almost identical today! Says a lot for Bosch and the olden days when companies competed for your business by perfecting their products instead of their advertising or profits.

This week I ordered and received the Bosch Universal Plus machine a replacement for my 25 year old worn out machine. I love the new machine and the best part is all my attachments from my old machine fit the new one. The Bosch is the best machine for mixing bread, buns, and large batches of cookies. I highly recommend it. I have purchased several items from Carol and Pam at healthykitchens.com They are very knowledgeable, have the best prices and shipping is always fast-only one or two days from ordering to delivery. Looking forward to another 25 + years with the Bosch Universal Plus! -

I waited a long time before taking the plunge and replacing my ancient Braun KM-32. I have been so pleased wtth the new machine. I think its maximum capacity well exceeds my needs, and I do make breads with pretty heavy doughs and lots of whole grains I am so glad I bought it. The service I got was excellent. I also appreciated the assistance in making sure this was the right machine for me. There was no 'upselling". They made every effort to make sure I was getting the machine i needed, and I think I did! -

I have this Bosch Universal mixer for a few years now, it is the best investment for my kitchen. My husband and son always proud that my home baked breads are better than bakeries. This mixer can handle heavy duty like an elephant holds a bamboo tree. Absolutely love it. Jackie from Vancouver BC. -

This is the most reliable and trouble free kitchen machine I know of. I'm a 'from scratch' cook, baker and canner, so my machine sees serious use. The Bosch Universal has been the best workhorse in my kitchen for the last 22 years. It does everything; blending, dough mixing, cookies, grating and shredding. It took me 10 years to wear out my first Bosch. (I did wear it out with seriously heavy use! It was cheaper to buy a new one on sale price than to repair the old one.) My second one needed a motor replaced after 10 years and it's purring beautifully again! -

I purchased this machine 40 years ago and honestly, I can't imagine not having it in my life. I remember Carol demonstrating the machine at the Saanichton fair and was absolutely fascinated seeing what it could do. When a very kind woman loaned me the money, I purchased this machine and the grain mill and am pleased to report, they are both going strong. With 3 kids growing up, the machine got lots of use and still does. -

I believe the Bosch Universal is an exceptional machine. I had previously owned a ‘vintage’ model since the 1980s, so when I decided to upgrade I did a lot of online comparison shopping, thinking I might change to the fancier-looking popular model. The main reason I decided to stick with Bosch is it’s exceptional bread-making capability. It kneads large batches effortlessly and the results are excellent. Clean up is easy, as the finish on the bowl allows doughs to almost slide off, so washing up is quick. I bought mine with a phone call to Healthy Kitchens, whose staff was informative, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! -

I am a little bit worried about writing a review, just in case my luck fails me! I have the older style Universal Bosch and it is either 40 or 41 years old. Still works great! Would not ever want to be without it! My machine is yellowed from years of age and maybe from sitting near a window in its younger years, but that does not affect its performance. Had to replace my bowl about 26 years ago when little hands threw a spoon into it while mixing cookies!! Love my mixer! -

Thirty years ago our small family moved into the BC coastal town of Powell River. The ladies that surrounded me during my time of being a stay at home mother of eventually four children had Bosch mixers. The price was steep for a young family and so I tried to make bread ,as my mother-in-law did by hand. I had the big bowl and beat the dough as best as I could with little ones clinging to me. There were many failed attempts of bread making and lots of heavy garbage bags with uprisen dough. One day when my husband was home sick, there was another attempt of bread making and another failure. This time I marched into the bedroom with my hands on my hip and exclaimed that if you want me to continue to try and make bread than you need to get me a Bosch like Mrs Horton! Sure enough I got the message across and have had my Bosch for 28 years! I have used my Bosch constantly for everything! When I first got my Bosch it walked off the counter when I was not looking and the counter was probably slick with liquid. So you graciously took it in for repairs but I have never had it in for repairs since! I have used it for making bread for our family since and we never buy store bought bread and buns. I use it so much that my future daughter in law has commented on that I am pulling out that machine for everything! Hence we plan to purchase a Bosch for each of our children for their wedding gifts. What other machine would my kids be used to ! They grew up using a Bosch. My daughters had a bread making business in neighbourhood where we lived. Neighbours would see them pulling their wagon with fresh bread and call our to them to come back! So yes, I love my Bosch and have encourage many young moms since to ease their load and purchase a bosch! -

I did a lot of research before buying our Bosch Universal Plus. The reviews of previous owners showed it was a well built machine with great capabilities. Because our current kitchen cabinets were low and other brands of mixers wouldn’t fit under them it made our decision easier. I am not only happy with how it works but it impresses me that it’s compatible with attachments from previous Bosch mixers as well.
Try finding a used one... then try finding a used something else. It’s rare to find one for sale. -
