Anything purchased from Healthy Kitchens.com may be returned within 30 days of delivery for refund or exchange, following the guidelines under "Returns" and "Refunds," below.
Condition of Goods Sold:
Used merchandise is never sold as new. New-equipment cartons may be opened for inspection before being shipped to you.
All goods sold in Canada, outside the province of B.C. will only be charged GST(5%). B.C. residents will also pay provincial taxes. Residents in the rest of Canada cannot be charged any provincial taxes on items purchased provided we are shipping the items to addresses outside of B.C. However, shipping costs will have HST charged per YOUR Province of Residence. Goods shipped to the US will have no tax added.
Second Party Deliveries
We will only accept payment for second party deliveries over $50, with pay pal. This means if the "Ship to" and "Bill To" addresses are not the same, and a Credit Card is chosen as method of payment, we will contact you for an alternate form of payment.
If you wish to order an item that we do not normally carry in stock we will take a 20% non-refundable deposit before ordering it. Once the item is shipped and received we will not accept any returns or refunds on it with no exceptions. There is a reason why these special-order items are not stocked and we do not want to carry them in our inventory.
Standard shipping is by UPS Ground in the US and Canada Post in Canada. Our shopping card shipping estimates are set for customers in mid Canada. Customers who are west of that, may be charged less than the shopping cart estimates and customers in more eastern destinations a little more. If ordering multiple items your shipping charges will definitely be a lot less as we can package them in single boxes. Since billing and credit card charges are not processed until we pack your shipment, your actual shipping charge will usually be a lot less than the estimated shipping charge in the shopping cart, especially for a multiple item order. Items that are advertised as FREE shipping only applies in Canada for NON AIR STAGE addresses. Additional charges for Air Stage shipping will be applied to those orders. Orders received by 3:00 pm Pacific time will ship same-day. Other shipping options are available. Shipping damage must be reported at the time of delivery or promptly thereafter. Shipping costs determined by our online shopping are estimated costs for Canadian orders. Customers who are closer will pay less than quoted and customers further afield will pay a little more. All items are shipped using the current pricing for either weight or volume metric measurement and depending on the distance the item will travel. All applicable taxes are applied depending again on what country or province you reside in. Some smaller items that will fit into larger machines that are being shipped free, will also be included with free shipping. See here for a list of those items
We don't accept returns after 30 days from purchase date or items purchased at sale pricing like Boxing Day. Items must be in as-shipped condition, not used, not scratched, scuffed, cut, etc. E-mail or call for return authorization (RA) number before returning any item. A repackaging fee will apply if packing materials are not returned complete. If the item was shipped to you for free, the cost of that shipping will be deducted from the refund. Postage and insurance on returned items are the responsibility of the sender, except we'll pay the shipping if we made a mistake, such as shipping the wrong item. Please take care to individually wrap all parts to protect from scratching, because shipping insurance does not cover damage caused by inadequate packing (including parts being damaged by contact with other parts inside the box.)
Refunds (and refused deliveries) are subject to 9% restocking fee with $10 minimum. We don't wish to make money on restocking fees -- most companies charge 15 or 20%. If an item is returned, we do have time and other costs for filling the order. The most common practice is to charge a handling fee on every order to cover those costs, but we don't do that because we believe the fairest policy is for the costs of processing returned orders to be associated only with the orders that are returned. If the item was shipped to you for free, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from the refund credit.
Refused deliveries and order cancellations received after merchandise has been shipped are considered "items returned."
There is no restocking fee for exchanges if the item being exchanged is in condition as shipped.
Within 30 days, customers may opt to have defective machines replaced or refunded. After 30 days, the terms of the manufacturer's warranty apply.
Receipts for orders are e-mailed; you should print a copy for your files. We will always include the receipt with the charge card receipt attached, in the box or package we ship out. Some manufacturers require receipt for warranty service. Mail-order customers may receive receipts by mail. We will acknowledge receipt of your order by email and notify you of tracking information and approx. delivery on your items.
We do not sell or otherwise disclose customer information to any outside party not directly involved in fulfilling your order.
Customer credit card information is never transmitted by insecure means.
Healthy Kitchens' is not responsible for typographical errors. We do appreciate hearing about any inaccurate information on our site, and an extra discount is available to anyone who alerts us to a pricing error.
Will be shipped by Canada Post Expedited unless other shipping methods are specified. Additional charges may apply to alternate shipping. Order from outside of North America will need to contact us by email for shipping quotes.
