1. Remove the brown or gray splash guard and take out the auger or screw that is inside the berry press.
2. Remove the ring, disc and cutting blade from your Bosch meat grinder.
3. Attach the auger or screw from the berry press to the front of the auger of the meat grinder, making certain that the two of them together make a contiunous spiral with no gaps (there are 4 ways to put is on , but only one will make the continuous spiral.
4. Place the sieve part of the berry press over the auger and attach it to the meat grinder with the ring from the meat grinder.
5. Attach the splash guard back over the berry press and you are good to go.
6. Turn the whole unit on its back so the meat grinder and berry press are facing forward, and get a small bowl to catch the seeds to put at the end and a flat bowl to catch the puree under the sieve.
7. Start the unit with the screw at the front of the berry press tight and then as you feed your soft fruit or vegetables through the tray with the pusher, loosen the screw to get a nice even flow of dry pits or skins, out the front of the sieve.
8. You can place the bosch motor on a book to get it a little higher than the meat grinder so that all the juicer flows forward.
9. Raspberry hairs sometimes clog the holes in the sieve and can back it up so keep an old toothbrush handy to occasionally brush across the holes on the bottom to remove those hairs.
10. When making applesauce, wash and cut the apples in half and cook them until they are soft adding in any desired sweetener etc. before putting it through the berry press.
11. Both raw and cooked tomatoes can be put through the press as well, to remove skins and pits.
